OurDream AI grew out of a single irritation: the AI companion world moved fast, talked loud, and offered very little careful, honest coverage. We built this site to hand adults plain facts instead of noise.
What we do
We test, compare and explain AI companion and AI girlfriend platforms. Part of that is living with an app the way a paying member would; part is the slow reading of privacy terms, price tables and the studies sitting behind the marketing. Either way the goal is the same — help you choose quickly and without buyer's remorse. That, in a sentence, is why this AI Girlfriend guide exists.
Our editorial process
Trust is built one line at a time. We open an app on its free tier — and a paid one when it matters — and actually use it. We read the privacy policy end to end, not the press summary. We check the price at checkout, because the checkout and the landing page rarely agree. Any claim about safety, user numbers or research gets traced to a named source before it reaches the page.
A second editor reviews every piece before it goes live, and when we get something wrong we correct it in the open rather than quietly rewriting the record. Coverage is refreshed on a rotating schedule, because a platform that looked excellent in spring can hollow out its data terms by autumn.
How we score apps
We judge each app on what genuinely affects you: the quality of the conversation, the true cost once the trial lapses, and the question most reviews dodge — where do your messages actually end up? Privacy carries the most weight, because here it is the single biggest risk. When a product disappoints we put it in writing, and the edges of that coverage are spelled out in our Disclaimer.
Staying independent
The site is funded by affiliate commissions, set out plainly in the Affiliate Disclosure. That money never writes the verdict. We draft the review first and attach commercial links afterwards, only to products we would recommend to someone we like. The mechanics of the referral tracking live in the Cookie Policy, and the data side in the Privacy Policy.
Who's behind it
Editorial is led by Quinn Marlowe, who has spent years covering consumer technology, AI companions and digital privacy. The writing aims to be specific and sourced, free of the breathless hype the subject usually attracts. AI tools may help with a first draft, but nothing reaches you without a person writing, checking and putting their name to it.
