Privacy isn't a footnote on OurDream AI. This page lays out, in plain words, what we collect when you visit, why, the legal grounds we rely on, and the control you keep over your own information.

We've kept the legalese light. If anything reads murky, ask — the quickest route to a human is the Contact page.

Who we are and who controls your data

We run this site as an independent editorial and comparison resource covering AI companion apps, written for an adult audience. We review third-party products; we don't build them. For data-protection law, the controller for information collected here is OurDream AI, reachable at [email protected]. The model that funds the work is set out in the Affiliate Disclosure.

What we collect

Two streams reach us — what you hand over on purpose, and what is logged automatically as you browse.

We don't ask for sensitive personal data and have no use for it, so please don't send it.

The legal bases we rely on

We don't process data simply because we can. Under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR, every use needs a lawful basis, and ours reduce to three: consent for non-essential cookies and analytics, which you can refuse or withdraw at any time; legitimate interest in running a secure, relevant, functioning site; and legal obligation for the rare cases where the law compels us to keep or disclose something.

How we use it

Bluntly: to keep the site running and to make it better — serving pages, understanding which guides readers find useful, catching bugs, and replying when you write. The wider rules for using the site are in the Terms of Service.

Affiliate partners and third parties

When you click through to a product we feature, that company may set its own cookies and collect data under its own rules, which we don't control. We earn a commission on some of those clicks, as the Affiliate Disclosure explains and the Cookie Policy details. Some partners operate outside the UK and the EU; where data crosses borders it travels under the safeguards the law requires, such as standard contractual clauses. We never sell your personal data.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may access the data we hold, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, port it elsewhere, or object to that use altogether. UK and EU readers hold these rights under the GDPR; California readers have comparable rights under the CCPA. Exercising them is free — write to [email protected] and we'll respond within the timeframe the law allows. If you feel we've mishandled your information, you can complain to a supervisory authority (the ICO in the UK, your national regulator in the EU), though we'd rather you came to us first.

Retention and security

We keep personal data only as long as there's a reason to: emails for the life of a conversation and a sensible period after; analytics ages out in aggregate. We protect what we store with reasonable technical measures, while being honest that no website is perfectly secure — that caveat, and others, sit in our Disclaimer.

Children

This is an adults-only AI Girlfriend resource, not directed at anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a child has contacted us, tell us and we'll erase the information.

Changes and contact

Laws shift and so do we, so this policy is updated from time to time; the date at the top always reflects the current version. For who's behind the site, see About Us; for anything privacy-related, email us or use the AI GF site's Contact form.
